Curator’s reflection

In this haunting and expressive work, William Henry Broome dives deep into the inner world of emotion and vulnerability. The face, partially obscured and abstracted, appears lost in thought, its features dissolving into a storm of color, texture, and movement.

The intense palette-dominated by deep greens, fiery reds, earthy ochres, and stark whites, creates a powerful sense of tension and emotional depth. The dynamic splatters and drips speak to an inner turmoil, revealing the rawness of the human experience beneath the surface.
